Use of There

"There" is used to introduce subject.
*"There"का प्रयोग वाक्य में कर्ता को परिचय कराने के लिए किया जाता है,इसलिए इसे introductory there भी कहा जाता है।
*"There" का प्रयोग किसी अनिश्चित व्यक्ति/वस्तु की स्थिति/अस्तित्व या मौजूदगी दिखाने के लिए किया जाता है।
*"There" एक adverb भी है जिसका अर्थ "वंहा"होता है।
* "Verb" का प्रयोग there के अनुशार नहीं किया जाता बल्कि उस subject के अनुशार किया जाता है there के बाद आता है।

जैसे-
एक किसान है। There is a farmer.
यंहा पानी है। There is water here.
घर है। There is a house.
एक राजा था। There was a king.
वंहा घर होगा। There will be house there.
जंगल में एक शेर रहता है। There lives a lion in the forest.
नदी में मछलियां नहीं थी।There were not fishes in the forest.
क्या वंहा घर है?  Is there house there?
इस कुँए में पानी क्यों नहीं है? Why is there not water in this well?

पहला वाक्य "एक किसान है" में आप गौर कर सकते हैं  की किसान एक अनिश्चित व्यक्ति है जिसके बारे में हमे कुछ नहीं पता इसलिए इस वाक्य में "There" प्रयुक्त हो कर subject किसान का introduce करा रहा है।
इसी तरह के वाक्यों को बनाने के लिए हम "there" का सहारा लेते हैं।
अगर इस तरह के वाक्यों को हम बिना there के a farmer is. बनाते हैं तो अंग्रेजी के अनुशार ये वाक्य गलत है।

* वंहा एक गाये है। There is a cow there.
*वंहा  दो घर नही है। There are not two houses there.
*वंहा एक स्कूल होगा। There will be a school there.

↑  इन वाक्यों को ध्यान से देखें "there" का प्रयोग एक ही वाक्य में दो-दो जगह किया गया है।
ऐसा इसलिए किया  गया है क्योकि इन वाक्यों में एक adverb है "वंहा" जिसके लिए there का प्रयोग किया गया है।

* कुछ लड़के पेंड़ पर हैं। Some boys are on the tree.
* एक गेंद मैदान में है। A ball is  in the field.
* तीन कलमें टेबल पर हैं। Three pens are on the table.

↑ इस तरह के वाक्य भी सही है फिर भी इन्हे there का प्रयोग करके बनाया जा सकता है।
जैसे -

There are some boys on the tree.
There is a ball in the field.
There are three pens on the table.

Negative sentence-

Example-

मेरे गावं में मंदिर नहीं है। There is no temple in my village. 

टेबूल पर पुस्तकें नहीं थी। There were not books on the table.

वंहा दो बच्चें नहीं हैं। There are not two children there.

यंहा घर नहीं होगा। There will not be house here.

Interrogative sentence-

Example-

क्या वंहा घर है ? Is there house there?
क्या एक राजा था ?Was there a king?
क्या शांति नहीं रहेगी ?Will there not be peace?
क्या गिलाश में पानी नहीं है ?is there no water in the glass?

Wh-words interrogative sentence-

Example-

आपके  कितने बच्चें हैं?Haw many are there your children?
दुनिया में शांति क्यों नहीं रहेगी ?Why will not there be peace in the world?
